Three days a week I practice Kuntaw in Brooklyn with my fellow Kyuds and Guro. This Filipino art has been a part of my life in one way or another since I was a kid. My father learned the art while he was stationed in the Philippines back in the 80s. In the video below you will see two Kuntaw Kyuds doing a great Arnis demonstration. You see in Kuntaw our weapon of choice is two sticks. These two guys inspire me to reach further in perfecting my practices.

awesome video. filipino martial arts is one of the most effective training systems. develop attributes at a fast pace and those can be crossed over to other styles. i love it

ReplyDeleteI even create a Kali training dummy that's has helped me train when I don't have a training partner.
Enjoyed the video. I would like to start a training group but I'm not sure how.
